Doyoung Lim

Doyoung comes from a diplomatic background and supports Telesto’s corporate growth strategy, market intelligence, and quantitative modeling to achieve project outcomes including sustainability benchmarking, differentiated services, and executive-level insights from data.
Prior to joining Telesto, Doyoung worked at the Korean Consulate in Chicago overseeing the consular protection of Koreans in 13 midwestern states. He worked closely with state and federal agencies to support individuals in legal crises and sent regular diplomatic cables updating government leadership on foreign policy, security, and response to the COVID-19 pandemic. During his military service Doyoung served as translator and air traffic controller to the U.S. Forces in Korea.
Doyoung holds a BA in Global Studies from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has lived and worked in Seoul, Chicago, and Mexico City. Outside of work, Doyoung enjoys writing articles on Korean culture and economy, and performing Brazilian music.
