Telesto Strategy to host emissions and climate risk disclosures event as part of first-ever Climate Tech Week in Chicago

Join Telesto and fellow Climate practitioners for a micro-presentation on how to navigate the next wave of emissions and climate risk disclosures as well as for a professional networking during a Happy Hour on Thursday, October 5th

CHICAGO, IL, September 20, 2023As businesses continue to adapt to the increasing regulatory demands of emissions and climate risk disclosures, many fail to capture the upside opportunity on value generation and top-line growth.

Some 20% of businesses may face credit downgrades by 2035 due to climate vulnerabilities. Businesses are waking up to this threat, with 23% of U.S. companies citing climate change as among their top three material issues, up from 16% in 2018. As of today, only 1.2% of companies are making substantial disclosures of their climate risks and mitigation strategies.

Whether it is the upcoming SEC requirements, the California Climate Bill, TCFD, CSRD or others, businesses will have to ensure not only compliance, but they have identified the opportunities for growth as part of their fiduciary duties to shareholders and stakeholders.

Learn more from Telesto with a brief micro-presentation with actionable tools for decision-makers and practitioners, followed by a networking session to like-minded Climate, ESG and Sustainability professionals. Event details:
