Doyoung has worked with diplomatic missions, governments, and armies in providing high-level, cross-cultural legal and client services. Highly resilient and goal-oriented, he joins Telesto to combine his spirit of public service with his interest in sustainable global growth.

Prior to joining Telesto, Doyoung spent six years at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chicago as a Senior Legal Officer, where he oversaw consular protection for Korean citizens in crises, developed close ties with local and state agencies, and sent regular diplomatic cables on politics and security in the Midwest. During his MBA, Doyoung leveraged operations and data analytics to streamline the consulate’s phone and online presence, reducing long wait times and automating tasks.

Doyoung holds a BA in Global Studies from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has lived and worked in Seoul, Chicago, and Mexico City. Outside of work, Doyoung enjoys writing articles on Korean culture and economy, and occasionally performing Jazz and Brazilian music.
